The Momentum Program, part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (RRPs) of NextGenerationEU, seeks to attract, train and retain talent with advanced digital skills. Through the hiring and training of research and technical personnel for 48 months (240 ECTS), it promotes research, innovation and public-private collaboration, strengthening the country's scientific and technological ecosystem.
The main objectives of this program are:
Analyze the mathematical basis of statistical models and explore their translation to a new framework based on machine learning, enhancing predictive capabilities in evolutionary scenarios.
Develop simulation algorithms and encoding languages, utilizing decision trees and various neural network architectures to optimize evolutionary data processing and analysis.
Explore languages for representing evolutionary data and biological features, comparing simulators to develop a neural network-based one (generative models, transformers, GNNs, etc.).
